Brody...Dodger's

Yes, finally an update. We moved and lost our camera. Both Boys are done with the baseball season. Bridger played in The Stansbury league and Brody went to Tooele this year to play in The Babe Ruth League, he played on The Dodger's. It was an awesome season for both of them, being that their teams both took 1st place in the whole division!!! Brody played a new position this year...catcher (yes, we made our first purchase ever of a "cup")! There were several kids that played in Brody's league. We feel it is quite an accomplishment for him that he made The All-Star team for Tooele County. They are practicing twice a day for two hours at each practice, once in the morning from 6:45-9am and again at night from 7:45-10pm. The Stansbury High School baseball coach attended their last game, he was impressed with Brody and is anxious for him to enter the High School in 2011. All-Star updates will soon be coming....

I interviewed for a job a couple of weeks ago at a Univerity Hospital Clinic in Daybreak, they called a couple of days later and offered me the job! A bit of a drive from Stansbury, but oh well, the Manager called me a couple of days later and said that the clinic in Stansbury had an opening and wondered if I would be interested in working there....uh yeah!!!! So big changes on their way! It is a Medical Assistant job, very different from what I have been doing, we will see how everything goes from being out in the big city with a huge playground to be free in, to working in a more cultured setting!!! (I recently got a pretty awesome stethoscope that I haven't been able to use much, so I am excited to put that to use!) I will still work the ambulance part time, can't give that up!

What started as a job that I wasn't even sure I would like...24 hour shifts, cold nights, hot days, MANY sleepless nights, living off Pop Tarts & Ritz Crackers, every smell you could possibly imagine, sights that you would never imagine...turned into knowing that men really can cook, :)feeling blessed for what I have, making some great friends, and realizing I may have made a difference in at least one person's life. Southwest Ambulance signed a contract with Salt Lake City Fire, this past week that contract expired and was not signed again, needless to say I am no longer employed there. Below are a few pics of the last night of operations.

There were a few days last week that Brody didn't feel good, he wanted to take a bath. I noticed that the lights were out in the bathroom...my Mom had given the kids some colored tea lights to put in their pumpkins, guess Brody needed them more for his Rest & Relaxation!

On October 10, we celebrated Larry's(Kevin's Dad) 75th birthday. We went to the Lion House for dinner, which was a huge surprise, it was awesome because kevin has sibling's that do not live local anymore and they were able to attend. The night before, Kevin's oldest Brother, Calvin, who flew in from Texas, came out to our house with Kevin's Parents & we went to dinner. It was a very special weekend! Thanks again Calvin for the great Burger...& Fry sauce!!!

The other night Brody & Bridger were playing football at my Mom's, Bridger came running in & said he thought he broke his shoulder. (He is somewhat a bit of a hypochondriac) I didn't believe him at first, he was laying on the ground...white as a ghost ...sweating profusley...and said he was going to throw up...an hour later, here we are....broken collar bone! Guess I wont doubt my kids anymore.

We went to The Dew Tour last Friday night. Kevin & I took the Boys & had a great time.

This is the pipe for the vert. skate. We got there just in time to see the younger boys sk8, it was cool for the boys to watch kids their own age. We were also right down very close to the floor.

Last Saturday there was a very serious accident at one of our neighbors homes that lives directly behind us. Kevin and the kids were out working in the yard and were able to catch some of the awesome pics of Airmed landing on our street. (Of course I was working in SL!)

We have had the State All-Star tournament for the last week, they played their final double header todayn in 90+ temps., they won their 1st game & lost the 2nd, they are done. I do have to brag though...Brody hit another out of the park home run today!! I am so proud of You Brody!! It has been such an awesome season, I am sad it's over.

We have had a Family tradition for as long as I can remember of going to Kaysville, where my Grandma lives & watching their small town parade. After the main parade they have a huge water parade, with fire trucks & their city water tankers, that is the highlight of the day for the kids! This year was mellow for us, after the parade & a picinic, we just went home & BBQ'd & did a few small fireworks in front of the house.

Brody played his first All-Star State game on Friday, here are a few pics. They played a double header and won the 1st game, lost by 2 points in the 2nd game. They will go on to play another double header on Monday. Thankyou very much to everyone who came to support him, it was a hot day!

Today, our new neighbors took Brody & Bridger to Deseret Peak to ride their dirt bikes. Bridger was a little unsure, but Brody took right to it & had a blast!!! He didn't want to leave to go to his baseball game. Thanks Robbie!

Today was Brody's first All-Star game, they played Bountiful and won 13-6!! It was a great game! Brody got a 3rd base hit, his 1st time up to bat! Thanks to all who came out and showed him their support, it means a lot.

We are back!

We are officially back! (Took a break for a bit.) There is quite a bit that has happened in our family, there a few updates below. Baseball is always a big part of our lives during the Spring, school got out and we also moved. We were able to move into a home, still in Stansbury Park, just further South from where we were. We have been in the house for about 2 weeks, it has been a really good thing for our Family, there will be more pics to come.

Well another baseball season has come and is almost gone. This year Bridger decided he wanted to play, we had a Yankee and a Red Sox! Bridger did awesome for his first year, he played short stop and also pitched, we are so proud of him! As usual Brody did amazing, as you can see by the pictures of the awards (below)! He also made the All-Star team for Stansbury Park, his 1st game is this Friday.
